GMC Sierra

Are you or a loved one thinking to go hunting this season? It was a reason you bought a used 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 in the first place. The lure of the forests and country fields, to travel nonstop and to maintain a vehicle such that it can be your home away from home, right? But are you sure you will have a hassle-free experience? Here is a checklist to ensure.

Clean It

So you may not be obsessed with keeping things organized, but hunting requires you have a clear gear and easy access to everything you want. Wash it thoroughly; vacuum the junk inside - the stray wrappers and the grease all have to go now. As dumb as it appears to be doing so when you are going into the wild and therefore likely to have it in a messy condition again, preparation thus will at least keep the clutter to a minimum. Besides, the fewer the extra stuff (e.g. jacket, cooler), the better its efficiency.

Get It Serviced

This is for sake of its functionality and protection during the trek. Oil change, checking every fluid, having the fuel filter replaced, checking the tires, and all the routine work will guarantee your GMC Sierra 1500 is ready for the game. And since you wouldn't want to bring home all the foliage and dirt, shop for seat custom-fit, tear-resistant and water-resistant covers - kudos if there are pockets to them, which will facilitate your organization - and floor liners.

For everything else that you have to carry including shotguns and your tool kit, do purchase a car organizer. With the various solutions now available, including ones to fit in your truck bed and under your seats, such compartmentalization will keep the equipment safe and secure.

You may also want to consider upgrading your truck. This includes a set of tires to suit the occasion. You don't want to be stuck therein with a flat tire now, do you? Further, grille guards will protects its front in case there of a harsh impact. Another, off-road lights are necessary when you want to adjust to the different environments.

Last but not the least are the back racks and Tonneau covers to give you no reason to be there and miss a day. It's not to suggest that your truck bed will be any less rigid or hard, but you don't want any external element affecting it. Protect that gear and protect the bed too from accidental damage attributed not just to road conditions and extreme weather but also theft. Choose one according to your style and you would not complain of it ruining your truck's look either.

Used 2015 GMC Acadia - Kelly Risk Free - Easton, PA - Emmaus, PA

With better fuel economy than a truck-based SUV, this copious interior, three-row passenger utility vehicle with great towing capability, 2015 GMC Acadia is practical and very appealing on many levels. The extremely amenable ride quality and generous cargo capacity behind the third row, a cabin that has abundant seating for up to eight passengers and has figured in the top crash test scores makes it one of the top choices in the large SUV segment.

One of the Acadia's best features is its smooth and quiet ride. Unlike other large truck-based SUVs, the Acadia can be driven daily on pot-hole spiked freeways and uneven asphalt in exceeding comfort. You'll have no fear picking up the family at the airport with a huge luggage capacity, and seats for everyone!  The 2015 GMC Acadia delivers a nice balance between space, utility, secure handling and an extraordinarily comfortable ride.
The Acadia features an attractive interior, as most of the areas you will touch are padded and of solid quality. Front occupants will enjoy ample head and legroom, as will the second-row occupants. This row can be slid all the way back opening even more space. Getting into the third row is reasonably easy, on par with other vehicles in the large SUV segment; the third row is actually roomy enough for two adults to fit in comfortably or three kids happily.

Performance, Safety, and Technology

The V6 engine has ample power to get the Acadia up to speed on the highway and it can tow up to 5,200 pounds when properly equipped, a very respectable number in the crossover segment.
This trim, the SLT-1, has all the features on the baser models listed below and adds: 19-inch wheels, foglamps, variable-effort steering, heated mirrors, tri-zone automatic climate control, leather upholstery in the first and second rows (third row vinyl), heated front seats, an eight-way power passenger seat, rear-seat audio controls with headphone jacks and a 10-speaker Bose sound system.
The SLE-1 came standard with 18-inch wheels, automatic headlights, a rearview camera, rear parking sensors, rear privacy glass, keyless entry, cruise control, a leather-wrapped tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, OnStar telematics, Bluetooth phone connectivity, a 6.5-inch touchscreen display and a six-speaker sound system with a CD player, satellite radio, a USB port and an auxiliary audio jack. There are also dual USB charge-only ports on the rear of the center console.
SLE-2 added remote vehicle start, a power liftgate, an eight-way power driver seat (with two-way lumbar), a two-way power passenger seat (manual recline), an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and the Intellilink electronics interface that includes voice controls, Bluetooth audio connectivity and smartphone app integration.

GMC Sierra

The 2014 GMC Sierra looked like a completely different vehicle as it was completely redesigned for that year. It offers more value for money than other vehicles in its segment even though it doesn't come cheap. The 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 is a high performing pickup truck. This is something you"d expect from a vehicle of this size. There are many reasons that make this truck a truly spectacular vehicle. Let's look at some of these reasons.

Smooth Drive and efficient engine

A 4.3 liter EcoTec3 V6 engine that generates a horsepower of 285 is present in the 2014 GMC Sierra 1500.It has a 6 speed automatic transmission system and the fuel economy is comparable to that of any mid-sized truck. In a 4-wheel configuration, it records a fuel economy of 17 mpg for the city and 22 mpg for the highway while the overall EPA stands at 19 mpg.

The truck is equipped with a Z71 suspension package which is one of the best options the GMC Sierra offers. For a reasonable cost, you get excellent wheels and tires. The 2014 Sierra 1500 features aluminum wheels and good year wrangler tires. Also, you get rancho shocks, extra skid platting under the engine and under the transfer case as well as a hill descent control for any extreme off-roading.

You'll be pleasantly surprised when you get behind the wheel as it is stronger and more powerful than you may expect it to be. If you're going to buy this truck, make sure you find out what axle ratio this truck is going to have. The four different choices include 3.08, 3.23, 3.42, and 3.73. Obviously, with a 6-speed transmission, the axles you choose will decide the strength of the truck and also its fuel economy. The pickup truck is very strong off the line and passing on the highway or merging into traffic is done with ease. You'll like the power of the engine but be very careful about how you match the accelerations.

Interior of the Highest Quality

The place where the 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 has made the biggest strides is in its interior. It features quality materials even in the base model. The mid-sized truck has a very nice stitching and better-textured materials everywhere than its predecessors. It features dual glove boxes; it's also equipped with a navigation system. The gages are well equipped; you have a 4.2-inch information screen in the center of the tach speed-o-meter and chrome surrounds the gages. The gages have a very classy look to them.

The 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 is so much more than just another pretty face. The 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 isn't exactly affordable but you're going to get more value for money with this mid-sized truck than any other vehicle in this segment. The 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 is a power packed car which offers a thrilling driving experience. There are very good reasons to look at some of the SUV options under the GMC umbrella: the Acadia and it’s smaller relation, the Terrain. The Acadia is the larger of the two, seating up to 8, the Terrain accommodates up to 5.  Both are a more masculine, and possibly more practical, alternative to a minivan. We have premium used vehicles of both models with various option packages in excellent condition at Kelly Risk Free!

For 2013, both models were updated. For 2013, the GMC Acadia's biggest change was on the outside where a larger, new grille draws particular attention. The light facelift didn't alter its GMC-handsome looks at all; it's still arguably the best-looking of the line!

And it is big: 200.8 inches long, for comparison that makes it 3.7 inches longer than a Ford Explorer, 3.6 inches longer than a Nissan Pathfinder and 9.4 inches longer than a Honda Pilot. It also outweighs those three by 122 pounds, 471 pounds and 350 pounds, respectively. That is what a real, powerful SUV looks like.

LED daytime running lamps, a new taillight design, wraparound rear glass and a new rear spoiler added to the exterior changes. French stitching, and red ambient lighting upgraded the interior, the SLT received aluminum accents on the doors, dash and center console.

Standard Infotainment was stepped up across the GMC model line for 2013. Color Touch Radio with touch-screen control, auxiliary and USB inputs, a SiriusXM satellite radio tuner plus HD Radio compatibility, a photo viewer, and a built-in rear-vision camera were included.

With the standard 288-horsepower V-6 and front-wheel drive, this Acadia SLT is strong, its ride quality is smooth and quiet, and the new dual-flow damper shocks added for 2013 further adds to the self-assured handling.

The Acadia makes outstanding use of the potential space throughout the interior, superior seating comfort and a tight, quiet cabin. A third-row seat is included in all Acadia models, and whether you go for the captain's chairs or the bench, you get roomy, adult sized accommodations throughout. The second row will slide up for more space in the third row. With the third row up, the Acadia presents 24 cubic feet of room for cargo; maxing out by folding down the second and third row seats, you’ll be amazed at the 116 cubic feet of usable space.

In around town driving, the Acadia is exceptionally light-footed for its size. Light steering and excellent visibility add to a feeling of car-drive level naturalness that is an attractive point for those who spend more time running errands and carpooling than road tripping. It’s easy to park, easy to sense where all four corners of the vehicle are at all times.
